ESTATE PLANNING AND ELDER LAW
  • WILLS AND TRUSTS

  • POWER OF ATTORNEY

  • LIVING WILL AND MEDICAL POWER OF ATTORNEY

  • MEDICAID PLANNING AND ESTATE ADMINISTRATION
Most of us do not like to think about our own death or incapacity, and often fail to adequately plan. Life is uncertain, and it is easy to wait until it is too late. With adequate planning and correctly prepared documents, major problems and significant expense in the future can and should be avoided.

Filling out available legal forms on your own, while better than having none, may not guarantee that you have covered all bases. Planning properly for future contingencies, and having legal documents which adequately carry out your wishes, is best accomplished by consulting with a knowledgeable and experienced attorney. We are well equipped to help you meet this need.

Regardless of your or your loved one’s age or circumstances, each of you should have a Will, Medical Power of Attorney, Living Will (if desired), and Durable Power of Attorney. In some instances, a Trust may be appropriate. The possibility of future nursing home admission should be addressed. We can advise you about your needs and prepare for you the proper documents at a cost which we believe you will find is quite reasonable. Should you be a personal representative or heir of an estate, we can assist you in assuring that the estate is properly managed and administered. For more information about these services, and a cost estimate, CONTACT US.

MEDIATION
  • PARENTING PLANS

  • DIVORCE SETTLEMENTS

  • CIVIL CASE SETTLEMENTS
Mediation is an alternative to fighting as adversaries in the courtroom. This informal process involves efforts to settle your differences on mutually acceptable terms by searching for common ground, with the mediator assisting, directing and remaining neutral. Benefits include saving time and expense, and avoiding an uncertain outcome otherwise decided by a judge or jury. You retain control of the outcome, and if no agreement is reached the mediation cannot be used against you.

Henry Glass is and has been since 2003 an approved family law mediator in West Virginia, having mediated over 100 cases. This experience, together with his vast knowledge and experience as a family law attorney, makes him an excellent candidate to mediate your divorce, custody, or property division issues. As an experienced trial lawyer, Henry is also well qualified to mediate other types of legal claims and disputes.
